Nationally Recognised Accredited Course
Basa Education and Counselling Services (BECS), has designed and developed the Nationally Recognised Accredited course, the (69795) Vocational Graduate Diploma in Counselling Supervision, in consultation with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and course review by the graduates and students of the (69828) Certificate IV in Counselling Supervision (members from ACA, FVC, PACFA, CAPAV, APS, and PCA Tasmania). We would like to acknowledge the special efforts of one of our students Donald Kaus in the accreditation process.
The program aims to build on counsellors' prior knowledge and skills in the specialized field of counselling supervision. The program emphasizes skills in initiation, analysis, planning and evaluation for highly specialized functions of a counselling supervisor.
The qualification can be gained through a number of pathways, including work-based training, RTO based training and distance education, a combination of these or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The length of study is 36-weeks at 12-hrs a week or part-time equivalent.
